WellDoing

Inspired by David Allen’s Getting Things Done (GTD), WellDoing is my approach to coaching individuals and organisations in the art of stress-free productivity.

Still Water ColourI am a passionate advocate of how this applied, advanced common sense approach to personal organisation can create immediate and incremental shifts in performance and drive.

The thinking behind it is simple. We keep too much stuff in our heads that would be better handled in an external trusted system. The average to-do list is often vague – unfinished thinking with inertia built-in. WellDoing lists contain the very next physical actions required to move projects forward and are therefore much easier to follow and action.

My approach to GTD coaching and implementation is to split it into 2 modules.

Module 1 of WellDoing GTD  – Getting Control

Here you will learn and apply the 5 phases of ‘Mastering Workflow’.

1, Collect – Managing all your stuff – digital, physical and mental.

2, Process – Methodical approach to sorting it.

3, Organise – Applying context driven organisation to your next actions.

4, Review  – Systematic and regular reflection on your progress.

5, Do – Doing the right thing at the right time .

Module 2 of WellDoing GTD  – Building Perspective

Here you will clarify your purpose, direction and drive through looking at your ‘Horizons of Focus’.

1, The Action Horizon

2,The Project Horizon

3, The Responsibility Horizon

4, The Goal Horizon

5, The Vision Horizon

6, The Purpose Horizon

WellDoing is doing the right thing at the right time for the right reasons. You know when you’ve got it right because you feel more energy, more fulfilled and much happier. Read here about the benefits of StillWorks coaching. Or why not take the GTD online questionnaire here, it doesn’t take long.Let me know your results.

Following almost 20 years in advertising, marketing and technology, I forged a new career in yoga nearly 10 years ago. Combining my experience of working in a highly stressful work environment with the stress relief of yoga and mindfulness, StillWorks Welldoing provides a platform for increased productivity with significantly less negative impact on our wellbeing.

This systemised approach encompasses all areas of your life – personal, family, community as well as professional. You can read more about it on David Allen’s website or buy the book Getting Things Done: How to Achieve Stress-free Productivity

The result of its implementation is a clearer, more creative mind that enables you to do more of what you want with less of the stress.
