The Task and Project part of the training gave me a very valuable tool to take control of my workload. Having the Perspective lists mixed in with the Control elements gives me a documented, complete picture of what I should and want to be working towards. The fact that this is a system that I can take with me (Blackberry, portable inbox, etc), is immensely useful. Knowing I can look at the list of tasks, in the context of where I am, the amount of energy I have, and the tools I have available is great. i.e. If I’m on the road, and I have 5 mins, I can look at my Blackberry and see what calls I could make. I also love the feeling I get when I can knock tasks off my list. It reinforces the feeling that I’m achieving my goals and “Getting Things Done. I now have confidence in the system, and feel that I don’t have to spend as much of my energy on remembering things in my head, as I can get them onto paper or into my electronic task list.”
