Change For A Change.

The one constant in life is change. And yet so often we resist it. The devil you know is better than the devil you don't. Or is it?

The changing seasons provide us a timely reminds of our relationship to change. Are we resistant? Are we holding on to jobs, people or habits that no longer work or serve us? Are we incapable of trying out new approaches to sticky areas of our lives?

Steven Pressfield, the author of The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles talks about the limiting nature of the resistance. It makes us fearful and stuck. He views the 'resistance' as our conditioned ego that prevents us from realising our more authentic self.
“Awareness is the greatest agent for change.” – Eckhart Tolle
So maybe yoga and mindfulness are preparations for change. Helping us to deepen our awareness and enabling us to face the truth that out heart longs to express.

This autumn why not change for a change?
