Doing Nothing

There are times when the best thing to do is do nothing. Not because you don't want to do anything. But simply because doing nothing is the best thing to do.

How can this be?

Here are my top 3 reasons for when doing nothing is the right thing to do:-

1. You need a rest. Physically, mentally or emotionally - you are tired out and need time to recover. If you don't stop, what you're doing will become increasingly difficult and you will suffer the consequences.

2. You need space. Clarity and inspiration need space. If your mind is always full of stuff to do it is less receptive to the new and the transformational.

3. You need to face yourself. Maybe you need to actually deal with what's going on in your head rather than avoiding it by doing stuff all the time. Maybe those thoughts you observe passing in meditation are actually ones you should listen to?

So try saying 'no' to doing once a day for a week.

See if the rest, space and insight this creates is worth doing less for.
